Installation work on the 1,200 tonnes/day flour and rye mill project, carried out by Alapros for Młyny Kapka in the Polish town of Krasnystaw, has reached its final stage. Preparations for the commissioning of the facility, comprising three separate production lines, are ongoing.

Ranking among the major grain processing investments carried out in the European Union in recent times, the project will have a total grain processing capacity of 1,200 tonnes per day. The facility comprises two separate wheat flour mills, each with a capacity of 450 tonnes per day, and a rye mill with a capacity of 300 tonnes per day.

The first two lines of the facility, established as part of the Młyny Kapka investment, are designed for wheat flour production, whilst the third line is dedicated to rye processing. Once the total capacity reaches 1,200 tonnes per day, the facility will become one of the largest-scale flour and rye mills in the European Union upon commencement of operations.

Alapros is managing the turnkey scope of the project, which includes process engineering, plant design, equipment manufacturing, automation, assembly, commissioning and performance optimisation.

The facility is set to utilise high-efficiency roller mills, advanced plansifter systems, grain cleaning technologies, automatic wheat conditioning systems and process control solutions, as well as digital plant monitoring and energy efficiency technologies.

A Significant Investment in Alapros’s European Project Portfolio

The project stands out amongst Alapros’s large-scale milling investments in Europe. According to information provided by the company, the project is one of the most comprehensive undertakings Alapros has undertaken in Europe.

Once the Krasnystaw facility comes on stream, it is expected to contribute to the supply of flour and rye-based products not only to the Polish domestic market but also to European Union countries.

The investment is considered significant not only for increasing grain processing capacity in the region but also for strengthening food supply chains and developing local production infrastructure.

Assembly Work Nearing Completion

Whilst mechanical assembly work at the facility is nearing completion, preparations for the commissioning process are also continuing. Upon completion of the project, the facility is set to rank amongst Europe’s large-scale milling investments in terms of its high level of automation, process efficiency and product quality.

The Młyny Kapka project in Poland adds a new reference to Alapros’ portfolio of large-capacity mill projects in the international market. When considered alongside the company’s projects in Europe, North and South America, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia, the Krasnystaw investment stands out as one of the key projects within the European arm of Alapros’s global operations.
